Scenario Structure Guidelines

Each scenario should follow a clear investigation path:

  1. Initial problem discovery
  2. Gathering clues and talking to NPCs
  3. Following leads to new locations
  4. Discovering the root cause
  5. Finding a creative solution
  • Focus on creativity and teamwork rather than conflict
  • Multiple solutions should be possible
  • Include "If Players Get Stuck" guidance for each scenario
  • Always end with positive outcomes for everyone involved

Every scenario should include multiple helpful NPCs who can:

  • Provide hints when players are stuck
  • Offer alternative approaches
  • Share relevant knowledge or abilities
  • Participate in the final celebration
  • Maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere
  • Problems are inconveniences, not dangers
  • Even "antagonists" are just misguided, not evil
  • Everyone learns and grows from each adventure
  • Community cooperation is always the ultimate solution
